Love Who You Are!

This morning before the internet crashed for the rest of the day, I had an email with an article titled "58 Reasons to Feel Good About Your Body (at Any Size!)" You can read it here. I have always felt that women especially are MUCH too critical of themselves (myself included)! I love this line from the article "Let us all stop the criticism and emphasize the positive." Amen sista! We need to LOVE who we ARE and who we were intended to be! It immediately reminded me of a free stamp I got at Inspire. Create. Share. 2014, so I ran upstairs and put together this little beauty.

I just LOVE that saying! Love who you are! It was calling out for some marker love. I always let my creativity take over, which means most things don't turn out as planned, but sometimes "planned" is overrated. This went from a star in the sky idea to more of a beachy starfish and pearls kind of thing. And I love it just the way it is. That just reminded me of Bridget Jones' Diary and now I'm going to go watch the awesome fight scene between Colin Firth and Hugh Grant.

Head Swap Video Tutorial

Face swapping with MDS!

We had a FABULOUS (and busy!) vacation in Utah for about 10 days. I was able to attend Stampin' Up!'s annual convention (now called Inspire. Create. Share.) SO MUCH FUN!!!! Dylan's extended family had a reunion that we were able to attend, and we spent some time with my family at our cabin. Oh how I miss those mountains!!!!!

My sister Porsche was so nice to take some much needed family pictures while we walked around Silver Lake. (Thanks Porsche!) Although I'm not a photographer, I do know how hard it is to get everyone looking and smiling at the camera at the same time! I was very happy with the pictures captured, but the perfectionist in me needed to combine a few pictures to get the PERFECT one! I found a few head swapping tutorials online using Photoshop, but I don't have the program, and Dylan doesn't (or shouldn't) have time at work to play around with it, so I thought, what about MDS? There's got to be a way to do it! So.... I played around and here's what I came up with! If you're interested in a tutorial, let me know and I'll make one!

If you are interested in My Digital Studio, click here! You can get a free 30 day trial, or buy the program for $19.95. Note that the purchased program has a TON of extras that the free trial doesn't have. The trial just gives you a small sample of the papers, embellishments, stamps, etc. Let me know how you like it!

Convention 2014 Swaps

So, as a "new" Stampin' Up! demo I get to go to convention FOR FREE! How fun is that??? I wouldn't be able to do it except for the fact that we're having a big family reunion in Utah the same weekend! The stars have aligned. ;) haha. After attending the 2014 catalog release party, I'm REALLY excited for it! I'm a little nervous though. Anyway, I decided (last minute) to make a few cards to swap. So here they are!  I was actually surprised how fast I put these together! There are about 30 of them. I'm excited for the cards I'll receive in return, and the friends I'll make while I'm there!

I used one of my all time FAVORITE stamp sets! I recently needed a sympathy card, and this is a GREAT sentiment image! Everyone needs something beautiful during a time of sadness right? I love the sentiment and the reminder that whatever you're going through, it WILL pass, and if we can endure the trial, there will be blessings beyond our imagination! LOVE this stamp set. And the new in-color Blackberry Bliss?!?! FAVORITE! So lucky that I won that ink pad (and 2 others) at the catalog release party!

Are you ready for your close-up? haha.
